FiiO Launches M5 Ultra-portable High Resolution Audio Player In India

The Hi-Res audio player also sports a pedometer chip that enables to track your steps taken as you listen to your favourite music.

Audio technology company FiiO has announced the launch of its new Hi-Res audio player in India for a price tag of INR 8990. Dubbed the M5, it is the sixth player to be added to the M series of audio players and features a Ingenic X1000E processor under the hood along with a high-performance AKM AK4377 DAC which supports decoding of both PCM and DSD formats.

The audio player sports a 1.54 inch HD touchscreen display with 240 x 240 resolution and double-sided 2.5D full-fit tempered glass. The CNC-machined aluminum alloy body along with the perfectly curved waist makes it extremely comfortable to hold in hands.

The M5 supports Bluetooth formats including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC, and is capable of recording audio thanks to its dual microphone design with cVc noise cancellation technology. It also supports most audio formats, including MP3, OGG, AAC, AIFF, WMA, APE, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, DSD and ISO.

While the M5 is a very powerful audio player, it is worth noting that it also includes a high-precision pedometer chip thus allowing the device to display number of steps taken  while listening to music – a very useful feature for the health freaks.

Powering all these features is a built-in 550 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is expected to last around 10.5 Hours with headphones, 15 Hours with Bluetooth, and 22 days in deep sleep standby mode.

The FiiO M5 is now available for purchase on the company’s India website and Amazon India.
