During the Winter NAMM 2019 held at the Anaheim Convention Center, from January 24-27, Electronic musical instruments manufacturer Casio announced two new additions to its lineup of Digital Pianos dubbed as the Privia PX-S1000 and PX-S3000. Targeting both hobby and professional musicians, these Digital Pianos come equipped with AiR Sound Source, a next-gen technology that enables reproduction of complex tone, mechanical sounds, and atmospheric qualities of a grand piano. These new Digital Pianos also enable more delicate expression of sound thanks to the company’s very own scaled hammer action keyboard.

They also offer a touch panel control surface, 192-note polyphony, six types of key simulators, Bluetooth audio, Chordana Play for Piano app compatibility, optional AA battery power and an included AC adapter. So, how are the two models different from each other? The PX-S3000 boasts a graphic LCD display, two-track MIDI recorder, 700 tones, 200 rhythms, and two assignable knobs which are not found on the PX-S1000.

Additionally, musicians can choose optional items for both the models including a new three pedal unit and a compact bag that is designed to hold the piano and all of its accessories. The Privia PX-S1000 and PX-S3000 digital pianos will be available this spring at select music dealers nationwide for MSRP of USD 899.99 and USD 1199.99 respectively.
