FiiO Launches R7 Music Player That Doubles Up As A Headphone Amplifier

Chinese audio electronics company FiiO has announced the launch of its latest music streaming player, the R7. The device, which debuted on February 28, has been called a “next generation” music player that doubles up as a headphone amplifier. The R7 is FiiO’s first desktop hi-resolution audio player and marks the company’s foray into the niche.

The R7 comes with 64GB of internal storage and is designed to work with a wide range of devices, including wired and wireless headphones, active speakers, and PCs. It also features various input and output options, including SD, USB, optical, and coaxial inputs, as well as support for Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.

Its key feature is a large front screen with a clean Android 10 interface, making it an all-in-one network streamer that can play various files from any source. It also supports High-Resolution PCM, native DSD Audio, and MQA Decoding and facilitates the possibility of installing a range of popular streaming platforms, including TIDAL, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and SoundCloud, thanks to the pre-installed Google Play store.

The R7 is equipped with THX AAA-788+ amplifiers and dual ESS ES9068AS DACs, enabling it to function as a headphone amplifier. The device offers a choice of wired and wireless connections, as well as up to 3.6W of power, and is designed to work with a variety of headphones. Users can also choose from five gain-level modes, allowing them to tailor the R7 to their preferred listening experience.

The R7 offers a distinctive range of features that set it apart from other options. For those seeking an all-in-one solution to enjoy high-resolution music, the R7 might just be the device they have been looking for. It is now available on HiFiGo and is priced at $749.99.
