Helm Audio Launches Studio Planar Headphones Bundled With Boost Cable On Indiegogo.

Helm Audio Studio Planar Headphone launched on IndieGogo

Consumer electronics company Helm Audio has recently announced their North American debut with the launch of three audio products – the Studio Planar Headphones (USD 349.99), the True Wireless Headphones (USD 99.99), and the Boost Cable powered by THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier (THX AAA) technology (USD 99.99).

The Studio Planar Headphones and Boost Cable bundle is now available as an early bird offer on Indiegogo, and their True Wireless Headphone is up for pre-order at helmaudio.com and Amazon later this month.

According to the company’s recent announcement, their flagship product, the Studio Planar Headphone features drivers that are rectangular (most are round) with silver coiling, the highest conductive metal – claimed to be an industry first. The drivers measure 66 mm (most are 50 mm), and the rectangular design would help flex more evenly than both round planar and dynamic drivers, thus minimizing distortion and delayed resonance while increasing accuracy and phase coherence. Further, the company claims that the silver voice coils would significantly improve conductivity between high performance neodymium magnets, thus resulting in a high quality, audiophile-grade sound-stage.

The headphone is light in weight, while the ear cups can be magnetically removed/replaced. They also rotate completely flat for effortless storage.

Additionally, the bundled Boost Cable is claimed to be the world’s first in-line amp cable powered by the THX AAA amplifier, which allows for studio quality amplification on mobile devices. It is integrated into a dual-ended 3.5 mm silver conductor cable delivering maximum volume, improved sound quality (true linear amplification), and a user-controlled bass boost feature that works with almost any mobile device on the market.

Lastly, the company’s True Wireless series of headphones focus on offering the listeners a secure fit perfected for commuting and working out with a scratch-proof resilient body and IPX4 water resistance. According to the company’s announcement, it is also said that these headphones feature a patent-pending HELIX Antenna for delivering a whopping 80+ ft range.

Speaking on the launch, Helm Audio’s CEO, Eric Johnson said, “Our goal is to become known for our superior sound, innovative designs, at unprecedented value.” Adding further on this, Jason Fiber, Senior Vice President, Mobile, THX Ltd said, “We are excited to partner with Helm Audio to bring the THX AAA experience to consumers as they embark on launching the Helm Boost Cable.”
