The much awaited update for Logic Pro X is finally out. Apple has released the Version 10.7 of Logic Pro to satisfy the needs of multi-dimensional music production and representing the next generation of sound on the MacBook Pros with M1 chips.
The new update comes with a complete set of mixing and rendering tools allowing musicians, mixing engineers, and record producers to expand their stereo projects to surround channels supported by Dolby Atmos. To enable this, the new update brings with it new set of mixer and panning controls, and plugins like Space Designer, Limiter, Loudness Meter, and Tremolo have been updated to take advantage of this new creative capability.
The new update also brings ‘Producer Packs’ to Logic Pro which was introduced in GarageBand earlier. This feature allows musicians to use beats, loops, and samples created by today’s hitmakers like Boys Noize, Mark Lettieri, Mark Ronson, Oak Felder, Soulection, Take A Daytrip, Tom Misch, and TRAKGIRL.
The new library comprises of 2,800 loops, 50 kits and 120 patches, all royalty-free which can be used during music production. The update also features the original multitrack project of the hit song “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” by Lil Nas X — including a Dolby Atmos spatial audio mix of the track.
Logic Pro 10.7 is available now as a free update for existing users. The price for new customers is $200/£175. All the new features included in the latest update is listed out in the release not published by Apple on their website.
