Sony Launches WF-C700N TWS Earbuds With Active Noise Cancellation And WH-1000XM5 In Midnight Blue

Sony has recently introduced a new set of truly wireless earbuds named WF-C700N, while also launching a fresh Midnight Blue color variant for its widely acclaimed noise-canceling WH-1000XM5 headphones.

The WF-C700N earbuds feature a sporty and lightweight design and come with active noise cancellation technology. The earbuds’ adaptive sound control adjusts the noise cancellation based on the user’s activity, automatically switching to ambient mode when necessary. This feature enables users to hear announcements or other sounds around them without having to remove the earbuds. The earbuds also offer 360 Reality Audio spatial audio and come equipped with 5mm drivers that deliver high-quality sound.

Each WF-C700N earbud weighs just 4.6 grams and pairs over Bluetooth 5.2 with support for the SBC and AAC audio codecs. The earbuds also support multi-point pairing with a future software update expected to arrive later this summer. They feature physical buttons on each bud that offer programmable single, double, and hold taps. The Headphones Connect app allows users to fine-tune the earbuds’ equalizer and enjoy DSEE audio upscaling.

The WF-C700N earbuds offer an impressive playback time of 7.5 hours with ANC on and 10 hours without ANC. The earbuds’ charging case, which has a capacity of 300mAh, extends these numbers to 15 hours with ANC on and 20 hours without ANC. The earbuds are available in black, white, lavender, and sage green colors and are priced at โ‚ฌ120 in Europe.

Sony has also introduced a new color finish, Midnight Blue, for its WH-1000XM5 noise-canceling headphones. The headphones were initially launched back in 2022 in platinum silver and black colors. The new blue color adds a touch of elegance to the headphones’ already premium look. The WH-1000XM5 headphones offer top-notch noise cancellation and sound quality, making them a popular choice among audiophiles and commuters alike.

The new WF-C700N earbuds and the Midnight Blue colorway for the WH-1000XM5 headphones are expected to be available for purchase starting this month (April).
